Wellness Disclaimer
Warning: Not for Medical Use. HeartLog (and any other wellness application offered by AdProfex Ltd) is intended for general wellness and lifestyle purposes only. The app is not intended to diagnose, cure, mitigate, treat, or prevent any disease or condition, or to be a substitute for professional medical care. Measurements and statistics are for informational and educational purposes only, to support general health and wellness awareness.
The app has not been cleared or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the European Medicines Agency, the Japan Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency (PMDA), or any other regulator as a medical device.
If knowing your pulse rate, blood pressure, blood glucose or any other physiological parameter is critical to your health, you must consult a qualified healthcare professional. Do not rely on the app for medical decisions. If you have an emergency medical condition, call 911 (US), 119 (Japan), 112 (EU/Cyprus) or your local emergency number immediately.
What this means in plain language
Our wellness app is a journal and visualisation tool. It helps you log readings (you take with a separate device or by self-reporting), and it shows you how those numbers move over time. That is genuinely useful for many people who simply want to be more aware of their habits.
It is not:
- A medical device or a substitute for one.
- A diagnostic tool. It cannot tell you whether you are healthy or unhealthy.
- A clinical-grade measurement. Any value displayed is an estimate or a self-report.
- A replacement for talking to your doctor — especially if you have a diagnosed condition or take prescription medication.
Why a wellness app, not a medical device?
Under the U.S. FDA's "General Wellness: Policy for Low Risk Devices" guidance (final reissued January 2026, docket FDA-2014-N-1039), software that helps users observe general wellness markers such as pulse rate is treated as a low-risk wellness product when it:
- is non-invasive;
- does not pose a safety risk;
- is not intended for diagnosis, cure, mitigation, prevention or treatment of a disease;
- is not intended to substitute for an FDA-approved or FDA-cleared device;
- does not include claims, functionality or outputs that guide clinical management; and
- does not include values that mimic those used clinically, unless validated.
HeartLog operates strictly within those boundaries. We deliberately avoid clinical thresholds, traffic-light indicators, "normal/abnormal" labels, AFib detection imagery, and anything else that might be read as a clinical recommendation.
Accuracy
Any pulse, heart-rate-variability, blood-pressure or blood-glucose value you record in HeartLog is either:
- a value you typed in, captured with your own device (cuff sphygmomanometer, glucose meter, smart watch, etc.); or
- a camera-derived estimate using photoplethysmography (PPG), subject to limitations including finger placement, lighting, motion, device hardware, temperature, ambient conditions and physiology.
We do not warrant the accuracy, reliability, completeness or timeliness of any data displayed by the app. We are not responsible for any health or other decision you take based on data from the app.
If you have a diagnosed condition
HeartLog is not designed for users with diagnosed cardiovascular, metabolic, endocrine or other medical conditions that require monitoring. If your physician has prescribed a regulated device — a cleared cuff sphygmomanometer, glucose meter, ECG monitor, pulse oximeter — you must continue to rely on that device. HeartLog can complement, but never replace, prescribed medical equipment.
Emergencies — do not rely on the app
HeartLog is not an emergency or healthcare service. It does not contact emergency services, will not alert healthcare providers, and is not monitored in real time. If you or anyone near you is having a medical emergency (chest pain, difficulty breathing, suspected heart attack or stroke, severe hypoglycaemia, or any other life-threatening condition), call emergency services immediately:
- United States: 911
- Japan: 119 (fire/ambulance) · 110 (police)
- European Union (incl. Cyprus): 112
- United Kingdom: 999
Age
You must be at least 18 years old to use HeartLog. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
By using HeartLog
By installing, accessing or using HeartLog, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and accepted this disclaimer, our Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept any part of these, do not use the app.
